Friday, July 1
8pm Reception and Presentation • 8:45pm Dinner
Ramadan is the time each year when Muslims neither eat nor drink from dawn to dusk in order to help them focus on prayer, charity, and self-reflection. After sunset they traditionally break their fast and share their meal with friends and neighbors.
The Kansas City chapter of Dialogue Institute of the Southwest has offered St. Paul’s an opportunity to share this meaningful experience on Friday, July 1 with a Ramadan fast-breaking evening meal. We will be just one of many churches throughout the area to benefit from their generosity.
The evening will begin here at St. Paul’s at 8pm with a reception, presentation about Ramadan, and the chance to visit with Muslim families. Then, after sunset, around 8:45pm, we will be able to try the delicious food brought by Institute members. This will be a great opportunity to meet and talk with members of another faith! Please plan to join us, and feel free to bring family members, including children, and friends.
RSVP by June 27 on the bulletin tear-off or by emailing Pat Cooper at email@example.com.
