  • Sometime during each hour for the next six hours, pray as you are prompted on our Facebook page.
set an alarm for the hour or the quarter hour or half hour
wherever you are, pray for the people named in the prompt
Use the sample prayer to conclude your time or pray one of your own
  • At the conclusion of the vigil, pray the prayer provided or one of your own.

Centering Yourself
You can begin with a moment of silence.
Read Psalm 46: 1-3; 6; 10

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
The nations are in an uproar, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.
“Be still, and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth.”

Try a centering prayer as you sit comfortably. Rest your hands on your lap, palms up and breathe deeply. Then pray this (or one of your own):
God of all care and compassion, I open my heart to you today to pray on behalf of our siblings who are so effected by this global pandemic. As I pray, may I hear you. May I feel your presence. May I know your peace. Amen.
