Sermon Series: Great Expectations
What do we expect in the “perfect” Christmas season? What does it look like in reality? Let’s explore what it means to live in a messy, imperfect world with a perfect God.
This Advent, take the opportunity to join a small group and share in a study that will prepare you to celebrate the profound meaning of Christmas…that God chooses to be with us wherever we are.
Sundays @ 9:30am
Join us for this study based on the book/DVD The Redemption of Scrooge by Matt Rawle. We’ll explore how sometimes we seem held back by the ghosts of the past, present, and future, and how we might let them go and fully immerse ourselves in the good news of Christ at Christmas. Led by Tracy Dawson.
Sundays @ 11:00am
All I Want For Christmas: Opening the Gifts of God’s Grace by James W. Moore.
Sometimes we concentrate so much on the gifts we want to give and to receive that we forget about the special gifts of Christmas. The truth is we need the miracle of God’s grace to see them, feel them, hear them, wrap our arms around them, and celebrate them. This five-week Advent study helps us think about what we really want for Christmas by reminding us of the amazing, life-changing gifts Christmas has in store for us.
Thursdays @ 6:30pm
The season that we want to associate with peace and serenity is often anything but peaceful and serene. Instead we seem to be surrounded by stress and, well, yes, even chaos. So what’s the secret? How can we anchor ourselves in the real meaning of Christmas?
Be part of a small group that explores James Moore’s Finding Bethlehem in the Midst of Bedlam on Thursday nights 6:30-8:00 pm beginning December 1. This DVD based study includes a participant’s book that you can order on Amazon or Cokesbury.
