Prepare for Christmas this year in a very important way—by participating in a small group study at church! To bring you the opportunity to explore what Christ’s birth might mean in your life, St. Paul’s UMC is offering two small group studies at a variety of times.

SENT: Discovering the Gift of Hope at Christmas by Jorge AcevedoSent book cover

  • Tuesdays @ 10:30am-12pm beginning 12/1
  • Thursdays @ 6:30-8pm beginning 12/3

God sent Christ into the world and in turn, Christ sends us into the world. This DVD based five-week study challenges us to discover what it means to be Christ’s hands, feet, head, and heart.

Do Not Live Afraid: Faith in a Fearful World by John IndermarkDo Not Live Afraid book cover

  • Sundays @ 9:30-10:30am beginning 11/29

In scripture, the opposite of faith is often fear. With remarkable frequency, the first word God speaks to those poised at the edge of momentous decisions or holy encounters is: “do not be afraid.” The basis of sermons in Advent, this study will explore how we can live faithfully and not fearfully.

If you would like to be a part of any of these small groups, or if you would like to be part of a study but have a different time/day preference, please contact Pastor Sandra: sandra@stpaulslenexa.org.

Special Note to Youth:
Beginning Sunday, November 29, classes will be offered at both 9:30 and 11am. We’ll be exploring SENT, described above, with a special emphasis on youth-friendly topics. Questions? Contact Allison Marcus: allison@stpaulslenexa.org.
