VBS Mission Project

As our Missions Project for VBS this year, St. Paul’s is supporting Mark Twain Elementary’s Summer Reading Book and Snack program. Mark Twain Elementary is a Kansas City, KS public school and serves a wonderfully unique population of refugees, immigrants and the urban poor. The summer reading program, which starts in July, will benefit children whose families are unable to obtain a library card. St. Paul’s will be collecting gently used and/or new books AND individually packaged snacks during the week of VBS. Bilingual book donations would be appreciated! Donations will be accepted through Sunday, June 23rd. Look for the collections box in the Narthex!

Your students will enjoy an interactive, energizing, Bible-based good time as they explore where God’s power can take them. They will become Voyagers and discover how to serve God and God’s mission for their lives.

After a high-energy opening time, Voyagers will make their way to the Bible Story Station. Interactive Bible lessons reveal key learnings to equip them for an active life with God. Your Voyagers will also discover our Vector Verse (Bible memory verse), Ephesians 3:20 – Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by God’s power at work within us!

Students will expand on their discoveries by making their own art projects, singing new songs, exploring the wonders of creation with science, and playing fun games. Along the way, Voyagers will hear about our mission project and respond to a call for action!

Your voyager will learn about Faith, Boldness, Kindness, and Thankfulness with these hands-on lessons:

Daniel trusts God in the lion's den

Queen Esther takes a stand

The Good Samaritan helps a fellow traveler

Jesus heals 10 lepers
