We Welcome you to St. Paul's UMC

We, the people of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, believe that God's love is expansive and unconditional and that, through Christ, God calls us to love one another as God loves us.

We welcome all people, regardless of gender, race, age, cultural or religious heritage, ethnic background, sexual orientation, economic circumstances, family configuration or difference of ability.

Bring Your Questions:

We meet every Sunday morning at 8:15, 9:30 & 10:50AM. At St. Paul's, we do not claim to be perfect. Our church isn't perfect, but it's real, honest, and serious about sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

It's a place where you can bravely ask the most basic questions about God and not feel uncomfortable. A place where you are loved no matter who you are, where you've been, or what you've done. A place where you can find hope and discover what following God is all about.

You don't have to dress up. You don't have to pretend your life is perfectly in order. You'll find a friendly, relaxed place where you can be yourself. You'll be encouraged, challenged, and experience many ways to connect with God. You'll hear messages that you can apply to your life today. You might even experience worship in a way you never have before.

Why don't you come check us out? How about this Sunday?

Our 8:15 & 10:50 AM worship services have more of a traditional feel and at the later service you can enjoy the wonderful music of the St. Paul's Chancel Choir...

Our 9:30 AM service has a contemporary feel, with outstanding upbeat music featuring BethanyBridge, St. Paul's praise band. The service also includes use of video as well as other multisensory elements. This service also offers Holy Communion every week and all are welcome.

Can't wait to see you!

WHO GOES TO ST. PAUL'S?

St. Paul's consists of a wide range of different people, from all ages and different backgrounds. Whoever you are you are assured a very warm welcome at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

The 8:15AM service usually has about 50 people and the 9:30AM service  about 125 and 10:45AM service usually has around 150 people in attendance.

Sunday School is held at  9:30 and 10:45AM. Children and Youth classes are divided by age and tend to have 10 - 30 each morning. Adult classes are themed based, meaning a class is held about a particular topic for several weeks in a row. Typically there are two to three classes on any given Sunday and they may range from just a few people to several dozen individuals depending on the topic.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

If it's your first visit then it's probably best to arrive 10 minutes before the service you are attending begins. There are reserved parking spots for visitors directly across from the main entrance.  You'll be greeted at the door by our welcoming team who will give you some information about the church and answer any questions you might have.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

This is easy. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We are an informal church and accept people as they are. You'll find others dressed from business casual to cargo shorts and jeans.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I GET THERE?

For some people going anywhere for the first time can be a bit of a nerve-racking experience. To help avoid any worries here's a quick summary of what you can expect at St. Paul's. First of all we all had a 'first day' at church, you'll find we are a friendly bunch, if you don't understand something please ask. Our aim is that whether you are just looking into Christianity for the first time or have been a Christian for many years that you should be encouraged and inspired by the morning. We hope that everyone will draw closer to God.

IS IT JUST SUNDAYS?

Absolutely not! God is with us everyday and we aim to lead lives pleasing to God all week long. St. Paul's is teeming with activity throughout the week, from bible studies, committee meetings, choir and band practice, scouts, kid's club, yoga and more, there is always something going on.

FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES

We aim to be an all-inclusive church.  Our premises are accessible for those with disabilities. We have reserved parking spaces near the entrance. An elevator is available for access to all levels and restrooms are accessible. Large print bulletins and hymnals are available by request.  We do not currently have a loop for the hearing impaired (please tell us if this would be helpful).

If you wish to discuss specifc needs please contact the church office at stpaulsumc@stpaulslenexa.org

We celebrate the worth, dignity and gifts of every person as a child of God.
